From January to April this year, the total export value of wind turbine blades at Jiangsu Qidong Port reached 30.422 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 97.8%, setting a new record and demonstrating strong growth momentum. Leveraging its functional advantages, Nantong Maritime Safety Administration proactively took action and provided precise services, fully injecting maritime momentum into the “sailing abroad” of the local green energy industry.
With the acceleration of global energy transition, the demand for wind power equipment exports remains robust. Relying on its continuously improving capabilities in heavy-lift cargo handling, navigation support, and port operations, the Tongzhou Bay Lvsi Start-up Port Area is gradually becoming an important hub for the export of wind power equipment from the Yangtze River Delta and even the whole country. To ensure the safe and efficient shipment of ultra-long and oversized cargo such as wind turbine blades, Nantong Maritime Safety Administration has established a three-dimensional regulatory system, utilizing information-based means such as AIS and VTS to monitor vessel dynamics in real time, conducting regular safety inspections, and standardizing operational procedures; optimizing service measures, providing personalized business guidance, and smoothing the logistics chain; strengthening collaboration with multiple departments, optimizing operational processes, and jointly carrying out commercial fishing co-governance and severe weather prevention to ensure unobstructed waterways during vessel berthing and unberthing.
In the next step, Nantong Maritime Safety Administration will further optimize its regulatory service model, enhance port navigation capacity and port facilitation level, assist in the development of new maritime productive forces, and contribute maritime strength to Nantong’s accelerated construction of a provincial pilot zone for high-quality development of the marine industry.
