The vehicles are destined for the “Il Faldo” logistics area managed by XCA, a joint-venture between Andrea Conti and the Arcese group

1,100 cars from the Chinese automotive company Dongfeng Motor Corporation were unloaded in recent days at Livorno, destined for the “Il Faldo” logistics area for the automotive segment, managed since last May by XCA, a joint-venture between Andrea Conti and the Arcese group, specialized in automotive logistics and a partner of the Fratelli Cosulich group.

The unloading was made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Maritime Agency Giorgio Gragnani and the companies CPL and CIPL. XCA coordinated all onshore activities, from dock-side unloading to handling and storage of the vehicles in the yard located inland from the Labronico port.

“Il Faldo – stated Tommaso Conti, XCA advisor and operational manager of Il Faldo – was chosen by us for the potential of its services. “We are extremely happy to have brought this infrastructure back to the center of port logistics for the automotive sector, proposing it as a reference point for international flows arriving from the Far East. Livorno represents the main port for car imports with approximately 630,000 vehicles, to which we add our 55 years of experience in managing car import and export, recalling the year 1970 when my grandfather – Conti concluded – started the export business of Peugeots produced in France and destined for the Maghreb countries”.
