Further to Karaikal Port Trade Circular dated 17 December 2022 – Declaration of Force Majeure and Reduction in draft to 12.5m after the effects of cyclone Mandous – the Port Authorities have declared it to be null and void with effect from 28 November 2022 / 1700 Lt.
The maximum draft for arrival vessels calling at Karaikal Port is 13.5m at 1.020 density. Dredging is presently underway and a revised draft will be advised in due course.
