Operational Regulations

  • Anchoring permission must be obtained from Qinhuangdao VTS (CH 08/16)
  • Continuous bridge watch with engine standby required for all anchored vessels
  • Anchor lights (2 all-round white lights) and shapes (1 black ball) to be exhibited per COLREGs
  • Strict prohibitions: Sewage discharge (MARPOL Annex IV), garbage disposal (MARPOL Annex V), hull cleaning
  • Mandatory reporting: Anchor position every 4 hours to VTS via AIS or VHF
