Greek LNG ship manager Alpha Gas has agreed a five-year Lifecycle Agreement with Wärtsilä covering two additional vessels powered by Wärtsilä 34DF engines, aimed at improving operational efficiency, system reliability, and cost predictability.

The agreement follows a similar deal signed in late 2024 for two other Alpha Gas LNG carriers. All four sister vessels—Energy Pacific, Energy Endeavour, Energy Integrity, and Energy Intelligence—are now covered under similar Lifecycle Agreements.

The contract includes remote support, condition monitoring, and expert diagnostics to support onboard troubleshooting and allow for dynamic maintenance planning, with the aim of preventing unplanned downtime through early fault detection and targeted intervention.

“Our emphasis is on enabling the highest level of efficiency and reliability throughout our fleet,” says Peter Lonski, Technical Director, Alpha Gas.

“This agreement with Wärtsilä will help us achieve that goal, while at the same time allowing us to accurately predict our maintenance costs. We also expect to be able to extend the time between overhauls, thanks to the dynamic maintenance planning feature.”
