Recently, the 100,000-ton public grain and oil terminal project, invested and constructed by SDIC, officially commenced.

This project is a key initiative under the 14th Five-Year Plan to advance the high-quality development of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor. It is also the only specialized grain and oil terminal project in Hainan Province, filling the gap in professional grain and oil port infrastructure. With a total investment of 997 million yuan, the project will construct one 100,000-ton public grain and oil berth, along with supporting grain and oil transportation systems and a production dispatch center. The terminal’s shoreline spans 316 meters, with an annual designed throughput capacity of 4.5 million tons.

Concurrently, Yangpu Port, operated by SDIC, is upgrading Berths #3 to #5 of its second-phase terminal. With an investment of 120 million yuan, the berth capacity will be increased from 20,000 tons to 50,000 tons. After the upgrade, the annual throughput will surge from 1.77 million tons to 5.2 million tons. Once fully completed, Yangpu Port’s total annual designed throughput will rise from 7.604 million tons to 15.5 million tons, marking a leap in service capacity and injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
