On July 10, 2025, CSSC Marine Power’s subsidiary Shanghai CSSC-MES Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. successfully delivered the 6G70ME-C10.5-HPSCR #22 main engine. This marks the 1,000th engine produced by CSSC-MES, with cumulative delivered power exceeding 36 million horsepower.

Looking back on the journey of production, the company has remained steadfast in its mission:

– **September 2007**: Successfully delivered its first diesel engine, the 7K90MC-C #1, taking the first step in manufacturing high-power marine diesel engines.
– **July 2008**: Successfully delivered its first largest-bore diesel engine, the 8K98MC, filling a domestic gap in large-bore diesel engine production.
– **April 2011**: Successfully delivered its first ME electronically controlled diesel engine, the 8K80ME-C, marking the beginning of intelligent marine diesel engine manufacturing. In October of the same year, it manufactured the Wärtsilä 7RT-flex82T main engine, achieving dual-patent production.
– **October 2013**: Successfully completed the type approval for its first 6G70ME-C9.2 main engine, signifying a new level in the company’s capability to develop and manufacture “high-efficiency, low-consumption, and eco-friendly” diesel engines.
– **September 2017**: Successfully delivered its first diesel engine with the highest number of cylinders, the 12S90ME-C10.5, further advancing its capability in high-power diesel engine development and manufacturing.
– **January 2019**: Successfully delivered the world’s largest low-pressure dual-fuel engine, the 12X92DF, achieving a major breakthrough in dual-fuel technology and winning the 7th Industrial Grand Prize.
– **August 2020**: Successfully delivered the world’s first LPG dual-fuel engine, the 6G60ME-C-LGIP-HPSCR, a significant milestone in the domestic shipping industry’s “green power” development.
– **June 2021**: Successfully delivered its first GI high-pressure dual-fuel engine, the 6G70ME-C10.5-GI-HPSCR, becoming the first domestic engine manufacturer with achievements in producing engines powered by high/low-pressure natural gas and LPG.
– **June 2022**: Successfully delivered its first dual-fuel engine with an intelligent-controlled exhaust gas recirculation (iCER) system, the 7X62DF-2.1, further expanding its dual-fuel engine portfolio.
– **June 2023**: Successfully delivered its first dual-fuel engine equipped with a fuel version iCER system, the 5X72DF-2.1, laying a solid foundation for subsequent mass production of LNG carrier main engines.
– **January 2025**: Successfully delivered the world’s first methanol dual-fuel engine, the 10X92DF-M-1.0-LPSCR, another landmark breakthrough in China’s high-end marine equipment sector.
– **May 2025**: Successfully delivered the largest-bore methanol dual-fuel engine, the 12G95ME-C10.5-LGIM-EGRTC, further solidifying its leadership in large-bore and dual-fuel main engine manufacturing.
