On May 12, 2026, the 5000-horsepower pure electric intelligent tugboat, designed and built by Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd. for Tianjin Port Tugboat Co., Ltd., was successfully launched.
The vessel has a total length of 35.8 meters, making it the shortest in length and the most optimized in layout among tugboats of the same type. It enables on-demand /stop and one-key switching of power supply, improving charging and swapping efficiency while reducing losses. Additionally, it will apply for the intelligent towing additional notation, facilitating the deep integration of green, low-carbon, and intelligent upgrades at the port.
