Until September, with 72 calls and over 186 thousand passengers, cruise traffic at the Port of Vigo has grown more than 40% compared to the previous year. This trend will continue until the end of the year, when it is expected to reach 125 calls and exceed 300 thousand passengers, unprecedented figures for that terminal to date.

During this period, a key investment in berthing infrastructure has also been executed, with the installation of 18 new bollards at nine double points, with a combined capacity of 300 tons, as well as the renewal of fenders. These improvements reinforce the port’s capacity to receive large vessels under optimal conditions of safety and operability.

The Port Authority is participating in Seatrade Cruise Europe Hamburg, where the head of the Commercial Management Division, David Castro, traveled alongside the main terminal operators and cruise traffic agents of the port of Vigo, to consolidate this growth, presenting itself as a safe and secure port, with modern infrastructure, capable of accommodating both large vessels and premium, luxury, or expedition cruises, always with the best service. This is complemented by a wide range of destinations, which covers the demands of all passenger profiles.
