The US Coast Guard has awarded a five-year, $49.6 million contract to Virginia-based Stealth Solutions Inc. to overhaul its Mariner Credentialing Program (MCP), which vets maritime professionals and safeguards critical infrastructure. A new system, NAVITA™, will replace manual credentialing with an automated platform offering online applications, mariner profiles, and self-service tools. Supported by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and aligned with Force Design 2028, the initiative aims to streamline the issuance of nearly 75,000 annual credentials, reduce delays for mariners, and strengthen US maritime security and workforce readiness.
