The Port Authority of Santos (APS) and the Santos Technology Park Foundation (FPTS) signed a technical cooperation agreement on Tuesday morning to integrate the region’s innovation and sustainability agendas, accelerate the development of solutions for the challenges of the port complex, and strengthen the local ecosystem.
The signing took place at the headquarters of the Port Authority of Santos, with the presence of the president of the public company, Anderson Pomini, and the CEO of FPTS, Anderson Bittencourt.
Among the main objectives of the agreement is the unification of significant event agendas: the Santos Summit, held by the Technology Park, and the ESG Journey, ESG Challenge, and ESG Award, by APS.
The initiatives will take place in an integrated manner under the brand “ColaBora Mundo”, an event to be held between October 25 and 29, optimizing resources and increasing the social-environmental impact and reach to diverse audiences.
“More than the integration of the agendas, this partnership is vital to design the Port of the future, a port capable of growing sustainably, aligned with the best ESG practices and that meets the increasing demands of the global market for high sustainability standards,” assesses Anderson Pomini.
For Eduardo Bittencourt, the cooperation is fundamental to boost the innovation ecosystem in the Baixada. “This is the reissue of a great partnership. We already have a jointly incubated startup and now we are moving forward to provide opportunities for more students, researchers, and entrepreneurs to create solutions for the challenges of the largest Port in Latin America.”
