Onur Marine will carry out dredging in the port of Izmail for 45.9 million UAH.

The Izmail branch of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) has signed a contract with the Turkish company Onur Marine Gemi Işletmeciliği Tic. A.Ş. for dredging work worth UAH 45.90 million excluding VAT. The work will cover the waters near berths 12–14 and 19–22 of the port of Izmail, where 170,500 cubic meters of soil are to be removed and transported to an underwater dump in the Danube by the end of 2025. The company will use its own vessel, the Hegemann IV, for the project.

The contract was awarded without competition, as no other bidders submitted an open tender. Nashi Groshi previously reported that a potential bidder complained about discriminatory tender terms, but the customer noted that it was specifically purchasing dredging services and that similar experience should be supported by relevant contracts.

Onur Marine was founded in 2021. It had previously collaborated with the USPA: in 2022, it was awarded a charter contract for the Hegemann IV for $13.37 million, later reduced to $12.77 million. However, the contract was terminated in 2024, and in the spring of 2025, a court ordered the USPA to pay the Turkish company $840,000 in back pay and compensation. The company is currently challenging this decision on appeal.
