SALERNO – The “Porta Ovest” project currently underway at the port of Salerno will be completed. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has approved the decree of the Special Commissioner n. 259 of July 29, 2025, which provides for an adjustment and first variation to the 2025 budget forecast. The budget variation involved funds of 21 million euros necessary to complete the work, advanced by the AdSP but subject to a memorandum of understanding signed with the Campania Region which invested in the project.
Thanks to the approval of this measure, communicated by the General Director of Ports, Donato Liguori, work on Salerno Porta Ovest will resume in the coming weeks.
“We thank the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport – said the special commissioner Andrea Annunziata – and in particular Minister Matteo Savini, Deputy Minister Edoardo Rixi, Senator Antonio Iannone and the Honorable Tullio Ferrante for the swift approval of the variation proposed by the AdSP of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea which will allow the completion of the important works necessary to improve the traffic flow exiting and entering the port of Salerno”.
