Just five months after the keel was laid, the new bunker vessel Maya Cosulich from the Fratelli Cosulich group has now been launched in China at the Taizhou Maple Leaf shipyard. This is the first ship dedicated to the transport and supply of methanol as well as ‘traditional’ bunker fuel.
In recent months, the Genoese shipping company of the Cosulich family itself recalled that, designed by SeaTech Solutions International (S) Pte Ltd, Maya Cosulich is a 7,990 Dwt IMO II chemical bunker vessel, dual-fuel methanol, with diesel-electric propulsion and an on-board battery.
Furthermore, it is fully compliant with the Singapore MPA’s regulations for methanol bunkering and is equipped with two mass flow meter meters.
The delivery of Maya Cosulich to Singapore is scheduled for the end of 2025, where it will begin operating on a time charter with Tfg Marine.
