Thenamaris is reported to be in advanced talks to acquire the entire LR2 tanker fleet from Frontline.
According to various reports, the vessels involved are 18 modern LR2 tankers, with a combined value estimated between $967 million and $1.01 billion.
TradeWinds, which has extensively reported on the story, comments that the deal “looks like Thenamaris’ answer to other big tanker expansion steps by Greek rivals”.
