It is reported that the “Qingdao-Jeju” container route is operated by the “SMC RIZHAO” vessel, deployed by Shandong Ocean Shipping Group Co., Ltd. This vessel is 118 meters long and 20.8 meters wide, with a maximum container capacity of 712 TEUs. It possesses the dual ship-type functions of a multi-purpose vessel and a general dry cargo ship, capable of carrying general containers, refrigerated containers, packaged cargo, and large equipment.

After the opening of the “Qingdao-Jeju” container route, Jeju will bid farewell to the traditional logistics model where import and export goods mainly transited through Busan or Incheon, taking 5 to 14 days for the entire journey. Via this route, fresh products loaded in Jeju in the morning can arrive in Qingdao, Shandong the very next day. (End)
