Algoma Central Corporation announced its results for the three months ended September 30, 2025. The company reported revenue of USD 161,276, compared to USD 144,733 recorded in 2024. EBITDA was USD 63,439 (USD 53,696 in 2024).

“This quarter marked a milestone for Algoma with the delivery of the Algoma Legacy, the first of three next-generation self-unloading vessels, prepared for methanol transportation,” stated Gregg Ruhl, President and Chief Executive Officer of Algoma Central Corporation.

“The Algoma Legacy underscores our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence, and represents a symbolic milestone as our 100th vessel in our growing global fleet. We also approved investments in two new 9,500 deadweight tonne mini-bulkers in our global short-sea shipping joint venture, NASC, with delivery expected by the end of 2027. With 100 vessels and ten more under construction, we are expanding our fleet and forging the next chapter of Algoma’s legacy,” added Ruhl.

Earnings from joint venture holdings decreased slightly compared to the previous quarter. The decline in the cement carrier and mini-bulker fleets was due to a reduction in available revenue days, caused by increased dry-dock stays in both fleets.

“All our business segments continue to perform well despite market uncertainty. In the domestic dry-bulk segment, higher volumes of salt, iron ore, and agricultural products offset the decrease in construction materials shipments. The replenishment of de-icing salt in the Great Lakes region marked a change from the previous quarter, while persistent trade uncertainty continued to affect aggregate demand,” explained Christopher Lazarz, Chief Financial Officer of Algoma Central Corporation.
