Emporcha formalized its incorporation as an active member of the Aysén Regional Development Corporation, created to promote strategic and sustainable projects in the area.

The birth of the corporation was unanimously approved by the Regional Council and formalized on the past 26th of October, marking a historic step for the planning and management of the territory’s economic development. This new entity seeks to articulate efforts between the public and private sectors to promote productive diversification, innovation, and sustainability in the region.

In that context, the Empresa Portuaria Chacabuco joined as an active member, reaffirming its commitment to the comprehensive progress of Aysén. “We at Emporcha are convinced that port logistics development and maritime connectivity are not an end in themselves, but a key lever for the comprehensive growth of the region,” stated the general manager of Emporcha, Felipe Candia.

The participation of Emporcha will allow it to make its infrastructure, experience, and public service vocation available to the corporation, to enhance joint initiatives with authorities and regional actors. “We understand that the success of Aysén lies in working in a network, in generating synergies that transform our strategic location into a competitive advantage for businesses, exporters, and tourism,” added Candia.

The executive highlighted that this alliance represents an opportunity to strengthen coastal shipping routes, promote cruise tourism, and consolidate logistical chains that benefit local communities. From the port company, the objective is to contribute to a sustainable and collaborative regional development model.

“We believe that together, between the public and private sectors, we can advance towards a future where the port and the region grow hand in hand,” concluded Candia, emphasizing the role of the state-owned company as a strategic actor in building a more connected and prosperous Patagonia.
