In a significant leadership move, the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri Jasvinder Singh for the role of Director (Strategic Project) at Hindustan Shipyard Limited. This decision was made during the PESB Meeting No. /2025, held today at 11:00 AM, where ten candidates were interviewed for this pivotal position.

The selection process for the Director (Strategic Project) role at Hindustan Shipyard Limited was highly competitive, featuring a diverse group of candidates. The PESB interviewed ten applicants, all of whom are distinguished officers from the Navy and the Department of Defence Production. The candidates included high-ranking officials with extensive experience in naval operations and defense production.

Among those interviewed were CMDR. CMDE Rohit Gaur, Officer-in-Charge of the Machinery Trial Unit in Mumbai, and COMMODORE Anish M Janardhanan Nair, CEO of the Gas Turbine Testing & Tuning Team. Other notable candidates included Shri Akhilesh Kamal Shah, Chief Quality Assurance Officer, and COMMODORE Vikram Bora, Director of Defence. The list also featured CMDR. Rajat Nagar, Warship Production Superintendent, and COMMODORE Ravinder Sud, Director of Ship Construction.

Shri Jasvinder Singh, currently serving as General Manager of Special Duties in the Navy, emerged as the top choice for the role. His extensive background and leadership experience in naval operations likely contributed to his selection. The PESB operates under the Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, and plays a crucial role in appointing leaders in public enterprises.
