ATH Trading has deployed a new bunker tanker, the M/T ATH Catamba, in Luanda to support its offshore marine fuel supply operations along the Angolan coast.

The vessel, which is 91 meters in length with a double-hull design and deadweight tonnage of nearly 5,000 tonnes, is equipped to distribute marine gas oil (MGO) and very-low-sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO).

The Cyprus-flagged oil products tanker joins ATH Trading’s existing vessel, the ATH Lemba, which has been operating in Angolan waters.

ATH Trading said the vessel addition represents part of its strategy to enhance Angola’s bunkering infrastructure and expand its role as a local physical supplier.

Established in 2021, ATH Trading is an independent, privately owned commodity trading company that provides physical bunker supply to vessels operating in Angolan ports and territorial waters. The firm operates with offices in Luanda and Madrid.

According to ATH Trading, the business supplied 77,000 metric tonnes of marine fuel in 2024, with more than 350 trades performed, and it is targeting more than 100,000 tonnes of bunker fuel deliveries by year-end.
