Panamanian ports mobilize 7.3 million TEU by September

In the month of September, the Panamanian port system mobilized 7,368,837 20-foot containers.

Of this total, which involved a growth of 2.2% compared to the same nine months of 2024, 5,073,970 TEU corresponded to full ones and 2,294,867 to empty units.

According to figures from the Panama Maritime Authority, the terminal that mobilized the most was SSA Marine Manzanillo International Terminal with 2,060,127 TEU. It was followed by Panamá Ports Company Balboa which transferred 1,984,748 20-foot units.

For its part, Colon Container Terminal added 1,276,419 TEU, while PSA Panamá International Terminal transferred 1,031,932 standard measure containers and Panamá Ports Company Cristóbal recorded a figure of 944,297 TEU.

Finally, Bocas Fruit has added 71,314 20-foot containers.
