The registration of ten mega-ships under the French flag was confirmed by Rodolphe Saadé, head of CMA CGM.

Specifically, ten LNG-powered containerships with a capacity of 24,000 TEUs, the largest ships of their kind in the world, will be added to the French fleet.

As mentioned in the relevant announcement by the French giant, this is “a significant investment that confirms the CMA CGM group’s long-term commitment to France and a strong choice in favor of French and European maritime power and sovereignty.”

At the same time, with this move, 135 French sailors, trained in the country’s naval academies, will have the opportunity for training and employment on the ten containerships. These ten new container ships, which will be delivered gradually from 2026 onwards, will connect Northern Europe with Asia, with regular stops at Le Havre and Dunkirk.
