The CEO of PortosRio, Flavio Vieira, visited the Rio de Janeiro Wheat Terminal (TTRJ), located at the Port of Rio de Janeiro. The terminal is specialized in the handling and storage of vegetable solid bulk, with an emphasis on wheat.

During the visit, Flavio Vieira saw the terminal’s operational facilities up close and participated in a meeting with the local managers Márcio Silva (Operations Manager), Luiz Cláudio Santos (Maintenance and Operations Coordinator) and Adriano Iglesias (Controllership Coordinator) to understand the demands, challenges, and improvement prospects for the enterprise.

With a total area of 13,453 m², the TTRJ has automated equipment and modern systems for the reception, unloading, storage, and transfer of bulk wheat to grain trucks, which go to the mills of partner industries. Furthermore, the terminal offers complementary services, such as weighing, transshipment, fumigation, pre-cleaning, and document issuance.

Flavio Vieira emphasized that the Wheat Terminal is a strategic asset for the Port of Rio and for the city’s supply. He stated that it is a reason for satisfaction to note the operation’s efficiency and the team’s commitment to good logistical and food safety practices.

“PortosRio has been working in an integrated manner with the terminal lessees, seeking to continuously improve operational processes, stimulate innovation and sustainable development, in addition to strengthening the port’s competitiveness,” highlighted the president.
