Deliveries are scheduled for 2026 and 2027 respectively
Dublin – The Irish shipping group Arklow Shipping has confirmed its loyalty to Dutch shipbuilding, signing a new order for two general cargo ships intended to increase its fleet. The units will be built by the Royal Bodewes shipyard in the Netherlands. The agreement is part of a long-standing partnership between the two companies, which has seen the Dutch shipyard deliver over 30 ships to Arklow Shipping in the last decade. The new units will be part of the “Arklow B” series, known for its operational efficiency and ability to navigate in shallow waters. Deliveries are scheduled for 2026 and 2027 respectively. The order underscores Arklow’s commitment to modernizing its fleet, which currently numbers around 55 ships, while maintaining its focus on the Northern European and Atlantic markets.
