In Italy, the president of the Federal Port Authority, Antonio Gobbo, met with port technology companies and carried out a technical visit to the Port of Brindisi during the week. The objective of the agenda is to obtain technical information and exchange experiences about the tools used to incorporate technological solutions for the control and monitoring of marine traffic in the port areas managed by the Company.

“We are looking for the best technical solution for the control systems of the ports of Salvador, Aratu-Candeias and Ilhéus, in Bahia, and Itajaí, in Santa Catarina. We already carried out a technical visit to other companies and to the Port of Messina last year. This complementary visit helps us to understand important technical aspects that need to be observed in the development of our project,” explains Antonio Gobbo.

The control system is a tool that functions as the control tower of the ports. The proposal is for the operation to be carried out together with the Brazilian Navy and shared with other security forces, such as the Federal Police, thus increasing security in maritime traffic and also in the fight against organized crime.

President Antonio Gobbo also participated in the Congress of the Asociación Para la Formación, Investigación y Desarrollo del Emprendimiento, in Rome, of which he is a member. The Event on Innovation and Sustainable Economy was held in partnership with the University of Salamanca.
