Marcura and CFARER have entered into a partnership that links digital procurement with technical fleet operations. The collaboration aims to simplify sourcing, dry-docking, and maintenance for ship operators through connected data and shared insight.

Marcura and CFARER have announced a strategic partnership designed to bring greater efficiency and clarity to maritime procurement and technical operations. The collaboration connects Marcura’s procurement ecosystem with CFARER’s fleet management platforms, offering a unified digital environment for ship operators around the world.

Under the agreement, ShipServ becomes the recommended e-commerce platform for Ship Manager Procurement, which supports around 2,000 vessels globally. This integration allows purchasing teams to access more than 50,000 pre-vetted suppliers from within their existing workflows. Tasks such as compliance checks, benchmarking, and e-invoicing now run seamlessly in the background, while AI-supported insights help identify the most reliable and cost-effective suppliers based on their performance record.

At the same time, CFARER’s customers will gain access to VesselMan for digital dry-docking, inspections, and technical project execution. By aligning procurement timelines with maintenance planning, the solution aims to improve predictability, reduce administrative work, and minimise costly delays.

“Procurement teams need control and timely access to the right suppliers. This partnership delivers both,” said Sharon Gill, Senior Vice President, Commercial and Partner Alliances at Marcura. “A number of major shipping companies are already using ShipServ integrated with Ship Manager Procurement. We are now extending this capability to CFARER’s broader client base together.”

CFARER’s Chief Commercial Officer, Stian Omli, said the collaboration is built on shared values of practical innovation and operational efficiency. “Our customers operate across every major segment of shipping. Marcura and CFARER share a best-of-breed approach with a strong focus on practical innovation. Together we help fleets work faster and with more confidence, at sea and ashore,” he said.

The partnership also brings together Marcura’s procurement analytics with CFARER’s vessel-level data, including maintenance status, work orders, and spare inventories. This alignment allows decisions to be based on what is happening on board rather than assumptions, helping operators reduce overstocking and avoid unnecessary orders.

Through this integration, Marcura and CFARER are creating a direct link between the maritime marketplace and the technical core of the vessel. The result is faster sourcing, more consistent execution, and a digital workflow that keeps projects on track across fleets worldwide.
