On November 18, the loading and delivery ceremony for the first batch of 15 transition pieces for the Inch Cape TP project, undertaken by Wenchong Heavy Industry, a subsidiary of CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited, was held at the Longxue yard. The successful delivery of this project marks a significant breakthrough for the company’s offshore equipment manufacturing level in the international high-end market.

Luo Bing, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Huangpu Wenchong, along with Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary Wu Guangjun, Deputy General Manager Han Jianbing, owner representative Mr. Yiannis, TP project site manager Mr. Laurentiu, Wenchong Heavy Industry Party Committee Secretary and Chairman Zhang Xinglin, and representatives from all participating construction units attended the ceremony.

As the first overseas transition segment project undertaken by a domestic enterprise, this project fills a gap in the domestic manufacturing of similar products and is an important practice for the “going global” of China’s offshore equipment. The project team adhered to the philosophy of “making the first build the benchmark,” overcame numerous technical challenges, achieved a structural completion rate of 99%, a root piece accuracy rate of 100%, and a flange deformation control rate of 97%. The production cycle for a single TP set was compressed to one month, and the loading of all 15 sets was completed in just 75 hours, achieving delivery with the high standard of “zero rectifications, zero outstanding items.”

The successful delivery of this first batch of products not only consolidates Huangpu Wenchong’s leading position in the offshore equipment manufacturing sector in Southern China but also demonstrates to the international market the exquisite craftsmanship, efficient coordination, and reliable quality of Chinese offshore equipment. Subsequently, the company will continue to advance the delivery of the next batch of 15 sets of products, contributing to the global transition to clean energy.
