New nautical vessels arriving for the work on the new breakwater of the port of Genoa Sampierdarena.
Two different ordinances from the local Port Authority, just published, reveal that the motor vessel G. Loris from the Chioggia-based company Zeta Srl and the pontoon Hebo P35 from the Dutch company Hebo will indeed be added to the other vessels employed in the construction of the new port defense structure.
G. Loris is a cargo ship built in 2004, certified for national coastal and littoral navigation, just 40 meters long, with a net capacity of 400 tonnes and equipped with a Liebherr S853HD excavator with a 24-meter arm.
Hebo P35, on the other hand, is a barge operated by the Dutch company Hebo Maritime Service.
Regarding the new breakwater, the €20.7 million subcontract for the construction of the superstructure, awarded to Cossi Costruzioni of Sondrio, a company in the Webuild group (leader of the Pergenova Breakwater consortium), has recently been authorized.
Concerning the work supervision for phase B, the outcome of the tender worth over €17 million could be decided at the beginning of next week. After having lost its appeal to the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) against the award by the special commissioner for the work, Marco Bucci, to a consortium led by the Rome-based Btp, due to a notification error, Rina Consulting has now appealed the ruling before the Council of State, submitting a request for monocratic interim measures which were granted, due to “the immediacy and intensity of the periculum in mora solely for the purpose of inhibiting the contract signing pending the imminent collegial definition of the interim relief issue,” scheduled for December 2nd.
However, another appeal, presumably from one of the other two consortia competing for the project management consulting, which was just filed with the TAR of Genoa, also hangs over the outcome of the tender.
