The Port of Aveiro received a visit from Emma Cobos, Director of Innovation and Commercial Strategy of the Port of Barcelona. The purpose of the meeting was to deepen her knowledge about the port activity of the Portuguese terminal, its development projects and the surrounding industrial ecosystem.
Cobos took the opportunity of the meeting to tour the different terminals of the Port of Aveiro, where she learned about the latest projects and investments that have reinforced the competitiveness and efficiency of this infrastructure.
The visit also included a stop at companies located within the port area, such as CSWind Portugal and Catana Group Portugal.
In the afternoon, a workshop was held where Emma Cobos shared the Port of Barcelona’s vision on the ongoing innovation projects in the fields of digitalization, sustainability, energy transition and port innovation.
The visit thus reinforces the spirit of international cooperation between European ports and underlines the importance of sharing knowledge for the development of more innovative and sustainable solutions in the maritime-port sector, explained the Port of Aveiro.
Emma Cobos has a background in logistics, maritime transport and strategic development, and with that experience she leads the Blue Economy strategy of the Catalan terminal and has been dedicated to digital transformation and innovation.
