During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi achieved coordinated development in its four main businesses: ship repair, shipbuilding, defense, and emerging industries. Its economic scale and profitability continued to improve, with a total industrial output value of 35.885 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 62.66% compared to the “13th Five-Year Plan” period.
Market Share of Brand Ship Types Exceeds 50%
During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi achieved outstanding results in the high-end, green, and intelligent transformation and development of its shipbuilding business. It cumulatively received orders for approximately 170 ships, with brand ship types like self-unloaders and heavy-lift vessels holding a market share exceeding 50%. A total of 93 ships were completed and delivered, with the annual number of completed and delivered ships increasing from 16 in 2020 to 22 in 2025. The deep-sea green intelligent technology test ship “Future” effectively filled the gap in national real-sea verification and pilot platforms for ships and marine equipment.
Ship Repair Completion: 761 Ships
During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi accelerated the green and high-end transformation and upgrading of its ship repair business. Despite a reduction in core resources, its capabilities improved against the trend. It cumulatively received orders for 822 ships, with high-value-added capabilities significantly leaping forward. The average output value per ship reached the best level in nearly five years. A total of 761 ships were repaired, with the average conventional dock period compressed to within 4 days.
Emerging Industries Revenue Exceeds 5.5 Billion Yuan
During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi coordinated resources and improved quality and efficiency in its emerging industries, with operating revenue exceeding 5.5 billion yuan, an increase of 36.8%. Wind tower products shifted from conventional land-based towers to multi-form tower manufacturing, with cumulative orders for 1,891 sets and shipments of 1,557 sets. The pressure vessel equipment business achieved product transformation, with Chengxi Equipment being awarded the titles of National High-Tech Enterprise and National Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative “Little Giant” Enterprise. Land-based anti-corrosion business opened up new market increments.
Profitability Rate of Completed Ships Reaches 100%
During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi emphasized value creation. Based on target cost management, it adhered to lean management and consolidated cost responsibilities. Since 2024, the proportion of profitable completed ships in shipbuilding has reached 100%, achieving the best performance in nearly a decade.

During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi practiced the concept of green, energy-saving, and carbon reduction. By benchmarking against world-class standards, it accelerated product upgrading, achieving iterative upgrades in shipbuilding products. It successfully transformed and upgraded from a single bulk carrier business to seven brand ship types. The proportion of self-developed ships in its orderbook reached up to 78%.

During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi steadily advanced its digital and intelligent transformation, constructing and putting into operation a total of 15 automated production lines. The cumulative number of valid patents reached 695. It undertook 27 scientific research projects commissioned by national ministries, provincial and municipal governments, and CSSC Group, receiving over 60 million yuan in fiscal research and innovation funds. It won more than 30 honors, including various levels of science and technology progress awards and the “National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise”.
Personnel Receiving Special State Council Allowances: 4 People
During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi deepened the cultivation of high-end talent. It cumulatively had 4 personnel receiving special State Council allowances, 2 CSSC Group discipline leaders, 1 outstanding young scientific and technological talent, 12 personnel with senior professional titles, 5 special-grade technicians, 6 National Technical Experts, 1 Group Company skill leader, 12 Jiangsu Provincial Technical Experts, and 3 candidates for the Jiangsu Province “333 Project”.
Construction of Inspection-Exempt Work Areas: 46
During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi focused on refined quality management and excellent quality improvement actions. It established 46 inspection-exempt work areas and formed 137 QC groups. It won the ICQCC Gold Award for the first time and was recognized with 2 National Excellent QC Groups and 10 National Excellent Quality Trustworthy Teams.
Construction of Lean Demonstration Areas: 22
During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, CSSC Chengxi cultivated a lean ecosystem through “cultural immersion”. It established 22 lean demonstration areas and cultivated 95 lean talents, achieving full coverage of company participation. It won the Group’s Lean Management Contribution Award, Group’s Lean Management Team Award, and Group’s Excellent Improvement Proposal Award for the first time, and ranked 2nd among shipbuilding enterprises in the Group’s first lean management level assessment.
