On 21 April 2026, an authorisation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy and the Recognised Organisation “RINA SERVICES S.p.A.”.
The new bilateral agreement is valid for four years, starting from 29 April 2026.
The Ministry was represented by the Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice Admiral L.S. Christos Kontorouchas, upon authorisation by the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy.
The agreement governs the assignment to the Recognised Organisation of services provided for by the current legislation, for the inspection and certification of Greek-flagged vessels, as well as their companies.
The renewal of the authorisation of an internationally renowned Recognised Organisation, in accordance with European Regulation /2009, a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), confirms and strengthens our country’s position in global shipping as a quality and reliable flag.
