On May 9, Adora Cruises announced that the “ship of art,” Adora Mediterranea, will return to Tianjin on June 7, officially commencing the 2026 sailing season. Adora Cruises continues to deepen its presence in the northern market, deploying its Tianjin homeport for the fourth consecutive year, allowing more guests from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to enjoy a more diverse range of high-quality cruise vacations.

According to the plan, the Adora Mediterranea will operate 25 international cruise voyages from Tianjin as its homeport between June 7 and October 11, covering the summer vacation, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day holiday periods. The itineraries include multiple /4-night, /5-night, and two /6-night voyages, taking guests to popular destinations such as Jeju, Seoul (Incheon), Busan, and Yeosu in South Korea, embarking on a sea journey that blends coastal scenery with urban culture.

From July 2 to the end of August, the Adora Mediterranea, inspired by Mediterranean culture and ancient Greek art, will create a variety of enriching summer parent-child activities. Young guests can participate in an immersive growth ball designed for little princes and princesses, creating unforgettable ocean fairy tale memories; they can also experience the “Little Navigator” activity, transforming into little captains and learning nautical knowledge such as sailor knots, ship language, and flags, embarking on an ocean exploration journey. Additionally, guests can enjoy the colorful water park and participate in interactive activities such as themed parent-child workshops and the Sea Champion Tournament, experiencing a sea vacation full of childlike fun and artistic atmosphere.

Adora Cruises stated: “Tianjin is an important strategic fulcrum for our deep cultivation of the northern market. We hope to create a more convenient and diverse cruise experience for guests from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei through stable capacity deployment and a cruise experience that ‘better understands Chinese people.’ In the future, we will continue to deepen the ‘cruise + culture’ innovative model, spread cruise culture, and further assist the high-quality development of the regional cruise economy.”

The Adora Mediterranea, known as the “ship of art,” is 292 meters long, has a gross tonnage of 86,000, and features 1,057 luxury cabins and suites, accommodating 2,680 passengers. Guests can enjoy an authentic Mediterranean atmosphere aboard the Adora Mediterranea. The ship’s design is inspired by Mediterranean civilization, skillfully integrating artistic elements such as oil paintings, sculptures, and reliefs, as well as classic Mediterranean architectural styles, into every corner of the ship. There are also a series of themed parties and activities, including the “Mediterranean Style” song and dance show and the “Golden Nile,” allowing guests to experience genuine Mediterranean charm.

Currently, Adora Cruises operates three large cruise ships—the first domestically built large cruise ship Adora Magic City, the Adora Mediterranea, and the Gulangyu under the China International Cruise Lines. Their itineraries cover East China, South China, North China, Hong Kong, and other regions, achieving year-round operations from multiple homeports. The second domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Flora City, has successfully been floated out of its dry dock and is scheduled for delivery on November 6, 2026. After delivery, the Adora Flora City will commence its inaugural season from the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport, dedicated to creating a “more beautiful, more technological, and more Chinese” sea exploration journey for domestic and international guests.
