The President of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, made a visit to the facilities of Astilleros Puerto de Balboa (Astibal), located at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal, where he learned about the operations carried out by this company. On the occasion, the President stated that this industry is the future of the country.
Mulino was received by the president of Astibal, Fernando Remolina, who, along with other company executives, gave a presentation on the company’s history and the tasks performed at the shipyard with certified processes and cutting-edge technology.
“The shipyard industry is the future of this country,” said the President to the company executives, whom he congratulated for the investment they have made and the services they offer.
The highest authority, together with company executives, toured and observed how each of the three dry docks that Astibal has at the Balboa shipyard operates to meet the various needs a vessel or client may have.
“This is the future, I congratulate you, continue working as you are doing so that everyone knows that in Panama there is a good, quality shipyard,” Mulino told the workforce.
