The meeting was organized by the National Centre for Research and Technological Development (CERTH) and focused on the future of sustainable transport in the Adriatic–Ionian region.
The representative of OLHG, Stefania Monachos, highlighted its key role in the Adriatic Corridor and its strategic transition towards a modern “Green Port”.
Special emphasis was placed on OPS infrastructure (onshore power supply for ships), the enhancement of digitalization, and investments promoting sustainable mobility, operational efficiency, and cross-border cooperation.
As was pointed out, the Waterbridging project strengthens the position of Igoumenitsa as a modern and sustainable transport gateway for the Adriatic and the European market.
