China News Service, Nanjing, May 11 (Reporter Zhu Xiaoying) A reporter from China News Service learned from Nanjing Customs on the 11th that in the first quarter of this year, Jiangsu Province operated a total of 599 China-Europe (Asia) freight trains, a year-on-year increase of 29.3%.

Since October 2022, the “China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan” international freight train of the SCO (Lianyungang) International Logistics Park has been operating stably for over three years, with a cumulative shipment of more than 6,000 TEUs. In the first quarter of this year, the logistics park completed a total logistics volume of 21.8428 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.34%; and completed 170,400 TEUs of container volume, a year-on-year increase of 5.07%, reaching a new high for the same period in history.

In the first quarter of this year, Xuzhou Customs supervised a total of 9,422 TEUs of cargo carried by China-Europe freight trains, of which outbound trains carried 4,340 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 38.5%; return trains carried 5,082 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of more than four times. (End)
