Xinhua News Agency, London, May 10 (Reporter Gao Wencheng) — Shipping tracking information updated on May 10 by “Marine Traffic” shows that a Qatari liquefied natural gas carrier has successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz, entered the Gulf of Oman, and is heading toward Pakistan.

It is reported that this is the first Qatari LNG carrier to pass through the Strait of Hormuz in approximately 70 days since the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran. The voyage map indicates that the vessel used a new shipping channel recently opened by Iran.

On May 9, the LNG carrier sent position information via its Automatic Identification System, showing that it had entered the Strait of Hormuz, after which it stopped transmitting position signals for an extended period. Shipping tracking information updated on May 10 shows that the vessel has successfully passed through the strait and entered the Gulf of Oman.
