On the morning of June 23, 2026, the keel laying ceremony for the first multi-purpose vessel (JXQ0025) built by Zhoushan NewRising Jinhai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (NRJH) for Zhejiang Minghang Shipping Co., Ltd was successfully held on Slipway No. 2 at the Daixi Base of Zhoushan NewRising Jinhai Shipbuilding. Ms. Gu Hongfei, Mr. Wu Jianbo, leaders of Zhejiang Minghang Shipping Co., Ltd, along with members of the on-site supervision team, CCS classification society surveyors Mr. Zhou Minghe and Mr. Xu Guangyao, Deputy General Manager Ji Fangshu, Deputy General Manager Chen Hongtao of Zhoushan NewRising Jinhai Shipbuilding, as well as leaders of the Daishan Base and representatives from various company departments, jointly attended the ceremony.
The JXQ0025 is a new multi-purpose vessel designed for unlimited navigation areas, featuring excellent comprehensive performance and a wide range of adaptable scenarios, fully meeting the diversified operational needs of international routes. The vessel boasts superior core dimensional parameters, with an overall length of 88.5 meters, a molded breadth of 15.2 meters, a molded depth of 7.5 meters, and a design draft of 6.1 meters. The hull structure is scientifically and rationally designed, offering strong load-bearing capacity and excellent navigation stability. This vessel is the first of a series and is classed with CCS.
As a multifunctional and comprehensive transport vessel, this ship has outstanding cargo carrying capacity and a wide coverage of transport categories, combining flexibility and practicality. The cargo holds can routinely carry containers and low fire-risk dry general cargo, and are suitable for transporting dry bulk cargo, various types of steel, pipe piles, tower sections, engineering machinery, large infrastructure materials, and other conventional oversized cargo. It also features self-discharging capability and possesses the qualification for transporting Class 9 packaged dangerous goods.
