At 10:18 on June 29, the fourth vessel of the 50,000-ton /chemical series, CHB5011, built by Changhong International for Greek shipowner HORIZON TANKERS, reached the launching milestone witnessed by the shipowner’s representative, LR classification society, and all parties of the company.

Heliotis, Executive President of the shipowner, Mr. Terzakis Filippos, Newbuilding Manager, Mr. Timotheos Pomonis, Site Manager, the site supervision team, representatives from LR classification society, and leaders and relevant department heads of Changhong International jointly posed for a group photo.
The vessel has an overall length of approximately 182.95 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters, and a depth of 19.1 meters, classed with Lloyd’s Register (LR). The ship continues the energy-saving design of the lead vessel, equipped with a combination device of a propeller cap fin and energy-saving duct designed by SDARI, effectively reducing main engine energy consumption and improving propulsion efficiency, meeting EEDI Phase III and the latest applicable code requirements. Additionally, it is fitted with a new type of tank washing system, facilitating the treatment of tank wash water in restricted areas; the cargo oil system adopts a flexible and efficient loading design, capable of loading seven types of cargo simultaneously.
