The second phase of construction for the Huangzeshan Petroleum Transfer, Storage and Transportation Project in Zhejiang province was 50% completed on Wednesday (25 May), according to China Zhejiang Free Trade Zone on 27 May.

Currently, the total investment of the project is said to be RMB 1.256 billion (USD 190 million), mainly to build crude oil and bunker fuel tank storage with a total capacity of 1.04 million cubic metres (m3).

The infrastructure includes six 100,000 m3tank storage facilities for crude oil and 10 tank storage facilities for bunker fuel oil, with capacity ranging between 30,000 to 50,000 m3.

By the end of this year, the storage tank capacity of the Huangzeshan Bonded Oil Storage and Transportation Terminal will reach 2.55 million m3, providing an important milestone for the city in building an international maritime service base.

Huangzeshan Oil Storage and Transportation Terminal is currently the largest oil storage and transportation transfer terminal in the northern waters of Ningbo Zhoushan Port.

From January to April this year, the terminal has berthed 57 oil tankers, with a loading and unloading volume of 1.583 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 90%.
