A boat accident occurred off the Ortakent Neighborhood of Bodrum district in Muğla. According to information obtained, the boat, which was assessed to be carrying irregular migrants, sank for a reason not yet known in the early morning.
In the incident where a struggle for survival took place, the lifeless bodies of the deceased washed ashore on Ortakent beach. Following the notification, Coast Guard and 112 Emergency Health teams arrived at the scene. It was learned that the teams reached a total of 7 lifeless bodies, 1 of whom was a child.
While the total number of people on the boat is still unknown, search and rescue operations continue.
