Shanghai Guomao Holding Co., Ltd. Established, Gong Zheng Unveils the Plaque
Shanghai Guomao Holding Co., Ltd. was officially established with a plaque unveiling ceremony on November 27. Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Shanghai, unveiled the plaque for Guomao Holding.
Guomao Holding is a first-tier state-owned enterprise established with the approval of the Shanghai Municipal Government. The company explores and establishes a business development model based on spot trading, featuring financial futures, and operating with an upstream resource investment, midstream supply chain management, and downstream industrial layout as its operational system. It cultivates and builds core capabilities such as industry research, digital empowerment, international operations, and risk control, actively participates in global commodity resource allocation, and is committed to building an international new-type commodity trading and investment platform with core competitiveness in key areas.
The establishment of Guomao Holding is conducive to Shanghai further leveraging its role as a central node in the domestic great circulation and a strategic link in the domestic and international dual circulation. It strengthens Shanghai’s trading and pricing functions in the commodity field, enhances the international influence of the “Shanghai Price,” and makes positive contributions to the construction of Shanghai’s “Five Centers,” especially the quality improvement and upgrade of the International Trade Center.
Wu Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, delivered a speech. Wang Guoqiang, General Manager of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, and Zhu Bixin, General Manager of COSCO Shipping Group, attended the ceremony. At the plaque unveiling ceremony, Guomao Holding announced its first batch of industrial, financial, and shareholder ecosystem partners, focusing on building a full-industry-chain cooperative ecosystem.
