November 2022), today the maritime, logistics and port group
UAE AD Ports has announced that it has acquired 81% of the
capital of GFS. In February 2024, in fact, AD Ports had acquired
51% of GFS with an option to increase its share of
capital by the end of 2026. Today AD Ports announced that it has
exercised the option and bought an additional 30% stake for 1.1
billion dirhams ($300 million), increasing its
share at 81%. The remaining share of the share capital is in
the President of Global Feeder Shipping, Amir Maghami, and the
other founders of the company.

Last year, GFS’s container carrier fleet
transported loads of 2.8 million TEUs in the context of more than
700 voyages that touched 89 ports in 54 countries.
