Agencias Universales S.A. (Agunsa) reported the conclusion of its training process, initiated in September 2025, to use the GAT-Ship system, a new software that will be employed in the vessel servicing processes conducted by the Chilean company, which is present in 15 countries.

“GAT-Ship training completed in our offices. With the second stage conducted in Punta Arenas, Puerto Montt, and Antofagasta, we have finalized the training for our new GAT-Ship agency software,” the company communicated.

“Thanks to the joint work of the Husbanding teams and the monitors Ignacio Pelay Ramos, Lukas Marcello Ponce Pastén, and Marco Moncada Olivares, all our offices now operate with this comprehensive tool for vessel servicing,” it added.

The main objective of GAT-Ship, self-defined as the definitive software for port agents, is to optimize port call management, automate operational tasks, and improve efficiency in handling documentation, communications, and financial processes.

The system allows for the management of each operation from scheduling to its closure. Furthermore, it enables the digitalization of documents, thereby reducing manual work.

It also facilitates the real-time supervision of tasks, expenses, and income, as well as the synchronization of financial and operational data. All of this is achieved through multi-platform access, as it works on both desktop computers and mobile devices.

Officially founded in the Norwegian city of Porsgrunn in 2005, GAT-Ship is present in approximately 400 ports worldwide, managing over 100,000 port calls per year.
