Akastor affiliate AKOFS Offshore signs USD 246 million contract for vessel AKOFS Santos with Petrobras

Akastor ASA’s 66.7% owned affiliate AKOFS Offshore AS has signed a firm contract for its vessel AKOFS Santos after a competitive tender process, the company said in a statement.

The vessel will continue to operate as a Multi-Purpose Supply Vessel (MPSV) for Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) in Brazil.

The new contract has a duration of four years, with operations expected to begin in January 2027, following the end of the current contract and preparation for the new engagement.

AKOFS Offshore will carry out operations for AKOFS Santos in collaboration with partners Bravante, which will provide marine services, and IKM Subsea, which will deliver ROV services.

The total contract value is USD 246 million, of which approximately USD 140 million will be revenue allocated to AKOFS Offshore and added to its backlog.

After the new award, AKOFS Offshore’s total contract backlog is about USD 612 million as of the end of the second quarter of 2025.

Akastor ASA is a Norway-based investment company focused on the oilfield services sector. It operates as an industrial investment holding entity, managing a portfolio of companies and investments in related industries.

AKOFS Offshore AS is a subsea well construction and intervention services provider operating specialized offshore vessels. As of the end of 2024, it employed 360 people and was owned two-thirds by Akastor ASA and one-third by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd.
