PortCastelló takes a decisive step in its international expansion strategy after successfully concluding its trade mission in Turkey, its second in just one year. As a result of these meetings, Akkon Lines has gone from operating a single service in Castellón to three active services, consolidating a firm commitment to the port and strengthening its connectivity with key international markets. Akkon Lines will now operate three regular maritime services, each with stable frequencies and specific routes that allow for the expansion of the port’s logistical capacity and improve its connection with strategic markets.
The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Rubén Ibáñez, has stated that “this announcement demonstrates that the strategy we are promoting works: we go to the market, we show our potential, and the shipping companies respond.” The president also added that “Turkey is a strategic market for PortCastelló and the trade mission has allowed for the establishment of new lines of cooperation that are already yielding concrete results in the form of new services,” admitted the president of the Port Authority, Rubén Ibáñez.
The expansion of Akkon Lines’ services represents a significant reinforcement for the port’s logistical offering, especially for its productive sectors, which from now on have more destinations, more frequencies, and more alternatives for their international trade.
