A container loaded with humanitarian aid material will depart this week from the port of Valencia bound for Benin, as part of a new solidarity action that started with the donation of the container by APM Terminals and Maersk. The shipment has been carried out in collaboration with the Centro Portuario de Empleo de Valencia, the Grimaldi Group, Valencia Terminal Europa, and the Fundación Juntos por la Vida, which develops various child support projects in countries like Benin or Ukraine.

This initiative continues the collaboration that these companies have maintained for years with the Fundación Juntos por la Vida. In 2018 and in 2023, these entities already sent a 30-ton, 40-foot container loaded with computer, medical, sports, and school materials which, after being refurbished, became two vocational training classrooms in Benin. This new humanitarian shipment represents an example of collaboration between port logistics companies and demonstrates how cooperation between sector players can have a real and positive impact on vulnerable communities, reinforcing the commitment of the port of Valencia to solidarity and sustainable development.
