“We are very pleased to have renewed several concessions with long-term partners,” stated CEO Keith Svendsen

The Hague – APM Terminals closed the second quarter of 2025 with record volumes, despite a highly complex geopolitical landscape: a significant achievement for the operational giant managing 60 terminals across 33 countries. “We are very pleased to have renewed several concessions with long-term partners, contributing to the development of new growth opportunities and the modernization of port infrastructure,” said Keith Svendsen, CEO of APM Terminals.

During the quarter, the company strengthened partnerships with strategic customers, collaborated with governments and port authorities on key infrastructure projects, and worked with other industry players to enhance operational efficiency. “These are not just commercial agreements,” emphasized the company, “but shared commitments to build more resilient and connected global trade networks, benefiting the communities where we operate.”

Notably, APM Terminals Pecém recorded its best half-year in history, handling 325,478 TEUs between January and June, a 38% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This result solidifies the terminal’s role as a strategic logistics hub for northeastern Brazil and a gateway to international trade.

In response to this sustained growth, APM Terminals Pecém announced a €31.7 million investment plan, including a major expansion project to be completed by 2029.
