Over the las few days of the year 2022, a number of companies have made new appointments or promotions from within their own ranks. Goodrich Maritime has brought in experience while Rhenus Logistics, Lubbers Logistics Group and dteq Transport Engineering Solutions have chosen among their own ranks.

Goodrich Maritime opts for experience

Goodrich Maritime, the Mumbai-based logistics company, has named John Risbridger as Director Operations in its newly established company in the United Kingdom, Goodrich Transport Solutions UK.

Risbridger brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from his illustrious career in the bulk liquids industry that shall certainly add value to Goodrich’s services.

Rhenus Logistics names new head of IT division

Markus Sandbrink has been named to the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) Group IT at Rhenus with immediate effect. As a result, the 54-year-old graduate IT business specialist will not only be responsible for his current role as Head of Corporate IT, but also for developing and harmonising the Group’s IT infrastructure for all its global logistics operations.

Within the newly structured Rhenus organisation, Markus Sandbrink is now responsible for the Group’s entire IT landscape and implementing the logistics company’s digital strategy. “With more than 25 years of experience in managing IT departments and developing programmes at multi-national organisations, Markus Sandbrink can look back on significant success stories in introducing large and complex IT projects,” says Tobias Bartz, the CEO of the Rhenus Group.

Markus Sandbrink, who will report directly to Tobias Bartz in his new position, will press ahead with coordinating the Rhenus IT landscape across the Group, focusing on ensuring that customers’ IT systems have no problems in accessing the Rhenus IT platforms thanks to the flexible interfaces that are in place.

Promotions at Lubbers and dteq

After nine months in his position as Commercial Director Benelux & Germany, for the Lubber Logistics Group, Patrick Balster has been promoted to a new position. Starting January 1, 2023, Balster will take up his new position of Regional Director Road Transport Benelux & Germany.

At dteq Transport Engineering Solutions, Sebastian Rostek has been appointed Operations Manager EMEA. Rostek joined dteq Bremen in 2017 as both a bachelor’s degree candidate and trainee in Transport Engineering. After finishing his training and degree in 2019, he began working within the EMEA team as a back-office and on-site transport engineer, leading complex tenders and projects and handling key account management for clients.

“It has been an exciting journey up to this point working within the dteq family,” says Rostek. “Now, I am really looking forward to future challenges!“
