The Puerto Quequén Management Consortium completed September with a total of 35 vessels that called at the Argentine port facility.
According to the entity in charge of the maritime terminal, the ships set sail for China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, India, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
Regarding the mobilized cargo, during the 30-day period, sunflower oil, soybeans, corn, wheat, barley and sunflower pellets were exported. Meanwhile, fertilizers such as Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP), Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), Urea and UAN 32 were imported.
Infrastructure Improvements
At the close of September, the Management Consortium reported that it will carry out the works corresponding to the initiatives called “Power Expansion and Electrical System Replacement” and “Repaving and Pothole Patching with Hot Asphalt Concrete in the Port Operation Yard Sector”. The work will be carried out at docks 8, 9 and 10.
The power expansion and electrical system replacement includes the adaptation of the main switchboard for the operation of the new installed power, with a new laying of conductors from the electrical substation to the operational area, thus supplying power to four new secondary switchboards, strategically distributed on the dock.
The road works will be carried out due to the high turnover of trucks caused by the growing operation of fertilizer unloading or export by-product loading. The tasks include profiling with grade reconditioning and paving with hot asphalt concrete.
