The National Agency for Ports and Navigation (Anpyn) of Argentina formalized the port authorization of Puerto Quequén, a resolution that consolidates the operation of the complex under the framework established by the National Law on Port Activities.
The national provision officially recognizes the facility as provincial, for public use and for commercial purposes, strengthening its legal and operational status.
Under the coordination of the operational management, headed by Gustavo Gavilán, with the permanent support of the board of directors and the commitment of the workers from the different areas, the port managed to accredit, before the National Port Authority, compliance with the technical, operational, infrastructure and administrative conditions required by current legislation.
The resolution issued by the National Agency for Ports and Navigation constitutes not only an administrative act, but the official recognition of the operation, planning, maintenance and improvements carried out by the Consortium, consolidating Puerto Quequén as a fully authorized port to continue developing its commercial activity under the highest standards established by national regulations.
The resolution also includes the terminals that currently carry out activities within the port complex: Terminal Sitio 0 de Quequén S.A., Terminales y Servicios S.A., Asociación de Cooperativas Argentinas (ACA), Terminal Quequén S.A., Terminal de Fertilizantes S.A. and Pier Doce S.A.
In the grounds of the administrative act, the National Agency for Ports and Navigation stated that Puerto Quequén meets all the infrastructure, land and water accessibility, safety and operational conditions provided for by Law 24.093 on Port Activities and its regulations.
Likewise, it highlighted that the technical, legal and engineering areas of the national body intervened, without any objections being raised for the granting of the authorization.
The resolution also establishes that the port must maintain the technical and operational conditions that gave rise to this authorization, a requirement provided for by current regulations.
The measure was processed by the Puerto Quequén Management Consortium, which submitted the documentation required by current regulations and accredited the technical and operational conditions required by national legislation.
